Technics Servicing

A full service and calibration for your Technics turntable, carried out by the experienced engineers at MasterSounds.

Please note: Technics Servicing is available to UK mainland customers only.

Drop-Off:

Bring your deck(s) to our hub in Stockport, UK, and collect when complete. This option includes only the flat service rate with no shipping or packing costs added. Repair and Upgrade costs still apply.

Collected:

Are you looking to get your SLs collected by our courier, serviced or upgraded by one of our MasterSounds engineers, and then safely shipped back to you? 

We will send some of our sturdy SL Box(es) for you to pack and return-ship your turntables to us for servicing using UPS Access Point or Collection. Once all servicing is complete, we will rebox your decks using mint SL Boxes and return them to you. Price covers flat service rate, SL Box, and three-way shipping, all handled by us.

Technics Servicing:

Full Test & Diagnostic Report: Once we have completed our initial checks and tests of your decks. We provide you with a diagnostic of your SL, along with any additional service recommendations.

What's included in the £80?

MasterSounds Calibration: This includes pitch fader calibration, as well as arm & cartridge balance and setup. The platter brake is serviced and all necessary parts are lubricated.

Cleaning:  All necessary contacts such as tonearm pins are cleaned to ensure that everything is in proper working order. External cleaning and polishing to our MasterSounds standards.

Test: Before shipping, we will undertake the same test procedures that are carried out for every MasterSounds Approved and MasterSounds SL turntable, ensuring that the working order of your Turntable meets our high standards.

What isn't included in the £80?

Any repairs or upgrades are not included. For example, we will calibrate the pitch fader, but if the fader itself is in need of further repair or replacement we will ask you to pay an additional cost to exchange the part. We do our best to keep our prices as competitive as we can.

We will let you know before any work is undertaken, and you can decide if you would like to go ahead. The pricing structure for repairs and upgrades is detailed on the Service Prices and Upgrades tabs on the product page.

*This includes replacement with a fully serviced tone arm & part exchange of your old damaged arm. We do this to ensure that the arm is in full working condition and that your SL is back on the road for many years to come.
This is only suggested or recommended if your arm is beyond appropriate repair, we opt to keep you original damaged arm and give a discount on the service in return.
If you would like to keep your original faulty arm and still replace , we can also offer a MasterSounds approved tonearm replacement without the part exchange for £500.
